At the Matherly - Davis Funeral Home we take great pride in being a part of Cushing's history and continuing to be involved in the future of Cushing.

The Davis Funeral Home had been managed by two different families, H. A. Davis, his wife, Alice and their son, A. Leo Davis and Rodger Floyd, his wife, Connie and their daughter, Mandy Floyd-Lemmon. On December 30, 2020, Brent Matherly a Cushing native, along with Kim Tankersley, purchased the funeral home from the Floyd family.  Changing the name to Matherly-Davis Funeral Home, we continue the rich history of a long-standing, locally owned business. Brent has been a funeral director and embalmer since 1991; Kim has worked in the funeral industry, assisting with services, and working behind the scenes on the business side since 1999.  We pride ourselves in the personalization of each funeral service provided because we believe "Everyone Has a Story". We want to help each family honor that life in the best way possible.

Our family strives to make the celebration of life go as smoothly as possible for each family, whether it be providing at need arrangements or pre-arrangements. In addition to the traditional services offered by funeral homes, we provide families with a keepsake video of their loved one.

We are located at 402 E. Broadway and serve families in Cushing and the surrounding communities. We have recently remodeled our facility, updating the foyer area; adding a room where families can comfortably make funeral arrangements along with a new visitation room for families to gather and spend time with their loved one. We have a chapel on the premises that can be used for visitations and services. As well, we offer a Family Center, which provides a relaxed setting for families to have visitations, dinners or just a gathering place. It is handicap accessible and is equipped with a kitchenette and handicap restrooms.
